Are you an experienced field professional who thrives in complex, safety critical environments? Do you take pride in ensuring construction quality, regulatory compliance, and seamless coordination on projects that support safe and efficient airport operations?

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Resident Project Representative to join our Aviation Team conducting field work in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you'll support the delivery of airside, landside, and aviation facility projects-working closely with project managers, inspectors, contractors, and airport stakeholders to ensure construction activities meet FAA standards, contract requirements, and operational needs. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise on projects that strengthen airport infrastructure while minimizing impacts to active airfield operations.



What You'll Do:

    Oversee and coordinate a major aviation construction project or multiple complex initiatives, ensuring every detail work aligns with plans, specifications, and airport operational requirements
  • Direct on-site construction inspection activities for airfield, landside, and aviation facility improvements, maintaining strict quality control and contract compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, chairing project meetings and facilitating clear communication among stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, verify contractor pay quantities, and manage contract administration records with precision
  • Lead and mentor field inspection staff while collaborating with designers and project teams to resolve field issues efficiently
  • Champion safety, regulatory compliance, and innovative solutions that keep projects on track and within budget
  • Travel locally and occasionally out-of-area to support project needs


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of construction inspection experience required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interpret complex contracts
  • Deep knowledge of construction industry standards and best practices
  • Physical ability to navigate active job sites and adapt to varying field conditions
  • NICET Level IV certification or PE license preferred
  • Airport badging required

Salary Range:

$53.00 - $60.00

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
