GENERAL SUMMARY Selects, trains, develops and motivates a staff of security professionals located across Canada. Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the Canadian security program. Ensures the safety and security of FedEx team members, property, company/customer assets and the FedEx brand. Oversees proper monitoring of FedEx proprietary and contract security programs. Manages security assessments and evaluates security requirements at all FedEx operating locations within Canada. Responds to crisis and emergency situations on a 24/7 basis. Develops, maintains and ensures liaison with law enforcement officials, conducting investigations, representing FedEx at courts. Special Notes: The incumbent(s) of this position is expected to perform all other related duties as assigned. If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English). Must hold or be able to hold secret security clearance. Overnight travel required. Must be able to complete and achieve minimum thresholds on any mandatory testing and training; must be able to operate in a PC windows environment; have the ability to successfully complete all recurrence training and maintain annual accreditations where applicable; and work varying shifts based on business needs. Minimum Education Bachelor's degree / equivalent Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred Minimum Experience Security - Six (6) years Law Enforcement/ Corporate Security including three (3) years experience within air cargo industry; includes 2 years management experience in Security Technical Skill Requirements Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations. Knowledge of investigation/interview techniques: detection/alarm systems, Close Circuit TV(CCTV), access control and Transport Canada security regulations/ laws.
