Leads and advances maintenance and reliability programs across all McLane distribution center facilities by supporting program design, driving implementation, and continuously improving maintenance strategies. Ensures the integrity, performance, and availability of equipment and infrastructure while driving operational excellence, reducing downtime, and optimizing total cost of ownership.

Leads the implementation, acceptance, and sustained adoption of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) practices to standardize maintenance execution, improve asset visibility, and strengthen reliability outcomes enterprise wide.

What you'll do as a DC Network Maintenance Manager:

  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies based on asset criticality, failure mode analysis, and lifecycle cost optimization.
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis initiatives to identify and eliminate chronic failure modes.
  • Establish reliability standards and best practices for equipment installation, rebuilds, and overhaul cycles.
  • Define Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and asset performance baselines and improvement targets.
  • Apply precision maintenance principles including laser alignment, equipment leveling, bearing installation standards, and controlled mechanical tolerances to extend asset life and reduce premature failures.
  • Design and optimize Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs using condition-based maintenance principles.
  • Implement predictive methodologies including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic inspection, and oil analysis.
  • Continuously refine inspection intervals and maintenance tasks based on performance data.
  • Leverage Redzone and CMMS data to analyze downtime trends, chronic failures, and equipment performance patterns.
  • Translate reliability data into targeted, proactive maintenance and asset improvement strategies.
  • Reduce unplanned downtime through structured reliability initiatives.
  • Develop structured CMMS workflows including asset hierarchies, job plans, failure codes, and preventive maintenance libraries.
  • Establish and maintain the maintenance schedule and formal reliability review process.
  • Implement backlog management and prioritization based on asset criticality.

  • Oversee maintenance and reliability of facility infrastructure including HVAC, utilities, building systems, and general plant maintenance.
  • Manage inspection, maintenance, and repair programs for material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, dock plates, and shipping/receiving systems.
  • Ensure all facility and equipment maintenance meets safety, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Build the maintenance analytical team through strategic hiring and workforce planning.
  • Develop structured onboarding and technical training programs for internal maintenance technicians.
  • Mentor analyst and technicians in reliability principles and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics as needed.
  • Lead resolution of high-difficulty failures and recurring downtime events.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for critical production equipment issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a DC Network Maintenance Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Equivalent experience with strong reliability background will be considered.
  • Reliability certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) are strongly preferred.
  • Vibration analysis or condition monitoring certification a plus.
  • Five plus years in maintenance leadership roles with strong reliability focus.
  • Three plus years in food manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying maintenance and reliability programs from scratch.
  • Proven application of RCM, FMEA, PM, and PdM methodologies.
  • Experience building, training, and leading maintenance teams.
  • Experience managing facilities and material handling equipment maintenance programs.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and reliability data platforms such as Maintenance Connection.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA, and food safety compliance requirements.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
