THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Services Analyst, you will play a vital role in overseeing a managed care organization (MCO) to ensure strict adherence to the Community HealthChoices agreement and all relevant regulatory requirements. Working independently and collaboratively, you will contribute to collective team goals by meticulously reviewing participant eligibility within state systems to guarantee the continuity of health care benefits. This responsibility extends to assisting providers in resolving eligibility gaps and coordinating with the MCO to ensure their internal records align perfectly with state data. When discrepancies or record errors arise, you will work closely with internal staff to implement necessary corrective actions. Additionally, you will evaluate the MCO's internal policies and procedures for contractual compliance while reviewing public-facing materials and participant notices to ensure clarity and adherence to established standards. This role requires active engagement in weekly meetings and specialized training sessions, requiring you to apply a deep understanding of the Community HealthChoices agreement to daily operations. Success in this position relies on critical thinking, astute decision-making, and professional communication skills. Furthermore, you will have an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to manage shifting priorities and maintain a timely workload while utilizing proficient computer skills in a variety of Microsoft products.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
