At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo) in Richland, Washington, we are committed to creating a sustainable future for the historic Hanford Site. Our mission is to protect the Columbia River and remediate the Central Plateau by safely managing and reducing some of the most hazardous waste streams and facilities in the Department of Energy (DOE) complex.

The Field Sampling Operations Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing field sampling activities in support of environmental remediation and groundwater monitoring programs at the Hanford Site. This role provides leadership to field personnel, ensures safe and compliant operations, and manages scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with DOE requirements and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles.

As a Field Sampling Operations Manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Lead and manage field sampling operations personnel supporting groundwater monitoring, characterization, and remedial actions.
* Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) principles.
* Plan and execute work in accordance with approved Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), work packages, and procedures.
* Manage scope, schedule, and cost for assigned work scope (typical annual scope ~$10M-$15M).
* Function as a Control Account Manager (CAM) for assigned WBS elements, including:
- Monthly EVMS reporting (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, variances).
- Estimate at Completion (EAC) development and forecasting.
- Variance analysis and corrective action planning.
* Coordinate with project controls, facility management, and logistics to ensure efficient field execution.
* Oversee subcontractors and vendors supporting sampling and field activities.
* Ensure data quality objectives (DQOs) are met and sampling is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements (CERCLA/RCRA/AEA).
* Support planning for future work scope, including input to task order development and WBS structuring
* Drive continuous improvement in field operations, efficiency, and safety performance.


Basic Qualifications


* Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 10 years of relevant experience.
* Manager Grade 22 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 12 years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Strong understanding of groundwater monitoring systems, well sampling techniques, and field instrumentation.
* Knowledge of CERCLA/RCRA/AEA processes and environmental compliance requirements.
* Proven ability to manage field teams and execute work safely in complex environments.
* Experience with EVMS and/or project controls.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Grade 21: $126,200 - $202,000
* Grade 22: $137,150 - $240,000

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
