PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $18 - $25/hr hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

PLEASE NOTE

As a BECU Intern, you will not be eligible for any benefit plans or arrangements that are generally available to BECU employees, except for paid time off (PTO). You will accrue 12 hours over the summer which you may use or be paid out at the end of your intern assignment if unused.

LOCATION

To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA. If you're located within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays. For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Analyze Financial Data: Gather and assess financial data to uncover trends and provide valuable insights into company performance.

  • Prepare Reports: Support financial reporting by collecting, organizing, and summarizing key financial information to help drive strategic decisions.

  • Support Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing financial forecasts by compiling and structuring data to support budgeting initiatives.

  • Maintain Financial Models: Help refine and update financial models and databases, including cash flow modeling, to enhance data accuracy and financial planning.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various departments to gather critical financial information, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Engage in Special Projects: Take part in high-impact projects that support the finance team and contribute to BECU's overall financial health.

  • Ensure Compliance & Accuracy: Uphold BECU's commitment to compliance, regulatory standards, and data protection while carrying out your responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's or Masters degree program in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent degree program.

  • Knowledge of financial principles, data analysis, and economic modeling, with exposure to Capital Markets, Fixed Income, or Asset Liability Management, and strong critical thinking skills.
