Design, implement, test, and debug applications according to corporate policies and business operating procedures on new and sustaining engineering projects. Support the technical development for mid-size projects and implementation in C/C++ and other programming languages. Participate in design reviews to identify issues and provide design recommendations. Participate in code reviews and/or inspections to identify issues and provide feedback. Collaborate with software team members to propagate good design principles and development practices across the team. Investigate new software technologies and tools. Create software development process documentation to include architectural documents, requirements, user interface and object-oriented designs, interface specifications, and verification documentation. Perform unit and integration testing to ensure software meets specifications and expectations. Review and resolve software change requests and defects. ***Hybrid in-office/remote position.*** Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Software development in C++ for embedded systems; Writing software requirements in collaboration with systems; Object Oriented design; Embedded user interface and backend user interface coding; Unit testing, debugging tools and code analysis; Linux; and Software design, model-based design and defensive coding practices.
