Hourly Pay Range:

$46.79 - $72.52 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: EMS, Manager
  • Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
  • Full Time: 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday; 8am-4:30pm.

What you will do:

  • Provides leadership and oversight for the delivery of high-quality patient care across nursing units and EMS/pre-hospital personnel, including collaboration with local fire departments
  • Leads all aspects of talent management, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and corrective action as needed
  • Develops and manages capital and operating budgets in partnership with the Administrative Director of Emergency Services; monitors financial performance and addresses variances
  • Establishes and executes strategic plans and operational goals for the EMS system; mentors staff in achieving departmental objectives
  • Oversees the development, implementation, and compliance of EMS policies and procedures; evaluates and approves recommended changes
  • Directs department-wide programs, including initial training, continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and certification/recertification processes; participates in disaster preparedness planning
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to staff, providing guidance on complex patient care, operational, and customer service issues
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends through ongoing education, literature review, and professional development activities
  • Builds and sustains strong partnerships with hospital leadership, EMS agencies, regulatory bodies, and local fire departments to enhance coordination, compliance, and community relations

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or Nursing preferred
  • Certification: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) and/or EMT-Paramedic licensure required CEN, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, ECRN, PHTLS/ITLS, and Illinois Lead Instructor certification preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of hospital-based experience with demonstrated knowledge of EMS and hospital operations
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong understanding of EMS systems and hospital operations, with the ability to effectively collaborate across pre-hospital and clinical teams in a fast-paced environment
