Columbia University's Department of Neurology invites applications for a junior-level clinical faculty position within the Division of Adult Neuropsychology. This position is designed as a two-year postdoctoral fellowship providing advanced clinical and research training in neuropsychology, with a focus on epilepsy and related neurological conditions.

The postdoctoral fellow will participate in comprehensive neuropsychological services, including patient care and active involvement in departmental academic activities. The role requires a highly motivated individual with strong clinical skills, a commitment to neuropsychology, and an interest in academic research.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct 3-4 neuropsychological evaluations per week under the supervision of faculty neuropsychologists in the Epilepsy Division, including test administration, scoring, and report preparation.
  • Assist with intraoperative and extraoperative language mapping procedures, as well as Wada testing.
  • Attend weekly Epilepsy Research Seminars and Epilepsy Surgery Conferences, and participate in Neurology Grand Rounds as relevant. Present neuropsychological findings at Epilepsy Surgery Conference for assigned cases.
  • Apply for a New York State Limited Permit in Psychology within the first month of the fellowship.
  • Complete at least one original research project, such as submitting an abstract to a national scientific meeting or an equivalent scholarly contribution, in collaboration with the fellowship director.
  • Contribute to the training and supervision of predoctoral neuropsychology externs.



This fellowship offers a structured environment for developing clinical expertise, engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing academic research in neuropsychology.

M.D. and/or Ph.D.
Candidate must be board certified or eligible in Neurology, and eligible for a NYS license.

Preferred Qualifications

Training and/or experience in Adult Neuropsychology.
