Position Responsibilities

As Senior Business Transformation Lead, you will lead Deltek's highestpriority, crossfunctional initiatives. These programs are set by the executive team and cut across business units, functions, and operating models. In this role, you will work directly with senior leaders to translate intent into execution - making difficult tradeoffs, resolving friction, and delivering outcomes that materially change how the business operates. This is a hands-on role, responsible for providing end-to-end, cross-discipline leadership of a wide range of business projects including strategic initiatives, business process improvement, and organizational change efforts. This is not a coordination or governance role. You are accountable for driving change, owning outcomes, and delivering measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead two or more complex, enterpriselevel strategic initiatives from problem definition through execution and delivery, with accountability for outcomes
  • Frame ambiguous problems, assess options, and build clear business cases that define expected value, tradeoffs, and success metrics
  • Navigate organizational complexity across business units and functions to remove barriers, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum
  • Identify business processes that are constraining performance and lead handson improvement efforts using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5 Whys)
  • Conduct currentstate analysis and design futurestate processes that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes
  • Drive initiatives through implementation, ensuring changes are embedded into daytoday operations rather than remaining theoretical
  • Design and lead change management strategies that drive adoption and sustained behavior change, including stakeholder alignment and communication planning
  • Establish and use clear measurement frameworks to track progress, adoption, and realized business impact
  • Operate as a trusted business partner to VPlevel and business unit leaders, leading executive discussions when decisions or tradeoffs are required
  • Present initiative status, risks, and recommendations to executive steering committees with clarity and candor
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal transformation playbooks, tools, and training based on lessons learned
  • Provide handson support for other executivelevel initiatives as needed, including M&A due diligence and integration

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years of experience leading complex, highstakes, crossfunctional initiatives with direct accountability for results
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior leaders without formal authority or reliance on escalation
  • Handson experience redesigning and implementing business processes, not just managing delivery plans or facilitating workshops
  • Strong background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or business process reengineering
  • Proven change management experience on enterprisescale transformations (systems, operating models, or organizational redesigns)
  • Strong analytical and data orientation - able to diagnose problems, define success metrics, and evaluate outcomes
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity, executive visibility, and personal accountability simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage credibly at both executive and frontline levels
US Citizen or Green Card Holder Required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, or equivalent experience
  • Background in management consulting or comparable internal transformation roles
  • PMP, Prosci ADKAR, or Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Experience supporting M&A integration or other enterprise strategic initiatives
  • Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations undergoing enterprise change
