We're seeking a future team member for the role of Data Management Analyst to join our Infrastructure platform team. This role is located in NY/NJ. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Support Infrastructure platform Data Leader by conducting end-to-end onboarding for in-scope applications following regulatory and AI-enabled data initiatives, ensuring timely intake, prioritization, and data governance alignment.
- Manage Authoritative Data Source (ADS) onboarding, defining AI-ready data quality requirements, control points, and operating routines in partnership with Data Owners, Application Managers, and Data Stewards.
- Inventory and define in-scope datasets by capturing dataset definitions, business terms for the enterprise data glossary, Critical Data Elements, lineage/ownership metadata, and data quality rules; link assets in Collibra to enable ADS certifications and trusted reuse for analytics and AI.
- Partner with Application Data Owners and Data Solution Services platform teams for physical data elements and source-to-target logic, enabling governed Data Lake hydration and downstream data consumption.
- Drive data quality issue triage and remediation by analyzing rule failures, assist Data Stewards with root-cause investigation, validating fixes, and improving preventative controls to reduce recurring defects.
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards and management reporting for data management programs (e.g., onboarding progress, ADS coverage, data quality control execution, certification status), enabling transparent delivery tracking and decision-making.
- Update and modify the Infrastructure Platform MyCDO site by publishing data governance assessments requirements and results, remediation plans, ADS statistics, forums and training content, and curated standards that reinforce plarform Data Management and responsible AI data practices.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Professional certifications in relevant technologies or infrastructure management are preferred. **EXPERIENCE:** Typically 6-10 years of experience. **SKILLS:** - Expertise in infrastructure operations and production services management. - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. - Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted analytics tools (e.g., copilots/agents) and strong proficiency in data querying and analysis (SQL, dashboards, and data profiling).
- Experience with data governance and metadata management tools (Collibra preferred), including glossary/term management, dataset certification, and data quality rule documentation.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $160,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
