Job Title: Internal Oil Control - Avionic Technician

Reports To: Production Manager

Location: Kent, WA

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

PACIFIC PROPELLER INTERNATIONAL (PPI) BACKGROUND

POSITION PURPOSE

Provides competence and skill on overhaul and repair of hydraulic components utilized in the propeller system. This includes evaluation, teardown, inspection, assembly, and testing of units per Manual, Service Bulletin and Directives and other duties in standard time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include some or all the following and are not intended to be all-inclusive. PPI reserves the right to change, add or delete responsibilities and duties as seen fit. An employee's specific job duties, priorities, and performance expectations are detailed in his/her individual performance plan.

  • Disassemble and tear down propeller component assemblies.
  • Set up and use manual machining equipment, hand tools, measuring equipment, (micrometers, indicators, calipers), hydraulic presses and plastic media blast equipment.
  • Responsible for the operation and light maintenance of hydraulic test benches.
  • Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed.



QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements



MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 1 to 3 years Aerospace related experience; military aircraft maintenance experience; prop maintenance experience.
  • 2 to 3 years Avionic experience.
  • 1 - 4 years' experience in MRO, assembly, or production environments



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Airframe and Powerplant License; A&P

Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed and complicated written or oral instructions. Dealing with problems involving many variables in sometimes difficult and stressful situations. Examples include managing many simultaneous high priority projects.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Obsessive attention to detail, ability to balance multiple work assignments; organized work habits; ability to work independently Able to read, understand and follow aircraft manuals and other directions written in the English language. Ability to correctly complete paperwork in compliance with work orders and job manuals. Must be able to use hand tools, micrometers, air gages, and other special tools. Ability to read manuals and have basic math for mechanical measurements. Must be able to read and understand technical documentation. Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed and complicated written or oral instructions; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Proficiency with major software programs: e.g., Made 2 Manage.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SHIFT: Full-Time; This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

SCHEDULE: Day Shift - Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m., plus overtime as required.
