Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 to join our team in the Medical Unit. This role will be full-time night shift, 7pm - 7:30am. Days vary. Candidates must be able to work any weekday when scheduled, rotating weekends. - Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; and works cooperatively with others.
- Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
- Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
- Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
- Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
- Assumes responsibility for self-development in life-long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
- Performs phlebotomy, starting and removing IV's, and other clinical skills, which will be included in initial 6-weeks of training.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Shift: nights (7pm - 7:30am) Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week - must be able to work all weekdays when scheduled, Monday - Friday as needed (with every other weekend rotation) Training: Candidate must be able to attend a paid six-week Monday-Friday training course, including virtual training days, classroom training days, and hospital shifts. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Technician or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire. Special Skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a similar unit/facility preferred.
