Registered Nurse - Rainbow Babies and Children's Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center

A Brief Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (HTC) provides specialized care for patients with congenital bleeding disorders throughout their lifespan. This includes patients and families affected by hemophilia, Von Willebrand disease, other factor deficiencies, and some platelet function disorders. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, multidisciplinary care. This includes patient education, treatment coordination and infusion therapy.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
