ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Production Laborer, you are responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by assisting with stripping, setting up, and pouring beds in a safe and efficient manner. This role works closely with Quality Control and supervision to ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment. You will also support multiple areas of production, including Yard and Patching, while contributing to continuous improvement and team success.

Salary range Salary range $23.50-$30.99. Based on location and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Work with co-workers to strip, set up, and pour beds in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal product quality
  • Follow directions from the Team Leader and Supervisor
  • Be flexible to work in all areas, including Production, Yard, Patching, and other departments as needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment and strong housekeeping practices at all times
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Follow established quality programs and consistently produce high-quality work
  • Maintain a professional attitude, strong attendance, and positive working relationships across all departments

The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and willing to jump into different areas of the plant as needed. This individual brings a strong work ethic, basic measurement skills, and a positive, "get-it-done" attitude.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
  • Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • General math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently and work independently when needed
  • Knowledge of the products the company uses, and which products would work best
  • Understand and accept changes that are implemented to become Best in Class


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors year-round
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
