THE ROLE: The Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) is seeking a hands-on Systems Design Engineer to support complex data center deployments and platform bring-up activities. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to stand up cutting-edge CPU/GPU platforms, ensuring full system functionality across hardware and software layers. You will be responsible for configuring systems end-to-end-from hardware setup and firmware installation to OS configuration and workload validation-while playing a critical role in identifying, debugging, and resolving issues as they arise. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, lab-driven environment with exposure to real-world data center infrastructure, collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and OEM/ODM partners to drive successful deployments and continuous improvements. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic, problem-solving environment. You enjoy digging into complex system-level issues, take ownership of challenges, and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You are a strong communicator who can clearly articulate technical issues and status updates across diverse teams.
