THE ROLE:

This is a lead engineering position responsible for Product Engineering program technical planning for next-generation AMD microprocessors. This individual serves as a critical technical point of contact to the business, design, platform validation and product engineering teams. THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will be capable of communicating problems, solutions, and project status up to the executive level. You will provide technical supervision or mentoring to junior engineers and influence others as a technical leader. You have the capability assuming the consultative or leadership responsibilities for large projects or product development initiatives, while dealing with internal and external groups on behalf of the group or project. This role allows the opportunity to influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on multiple products or the product line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Qualifications (Fab / Device / Yield)

  • Handson experience withsemiconductor fab manufacturing processes, statistical process control,and endtoend manufacturing/test flows
  • Strong understanding ofdevice physicsand interactions with manufacturing process modules
  • Proven expertise inyield analysis, yield ramp, and yield improvementmethodologies
  • Experience correlatingfab parametric (inline metrology, electrical-test data) to yield
  • Working knowledge offailure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions
  • Experience supportingreliability stress testing and qualificationactivities

Data & Automation Skills

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpretlarge fab datasets(inline, parametric, test, yield)
  • Proficiency inscripting/automation(Python, Perl, or similar)
  • Experience withstatistical data analysis toolssuch asJMP, MATLAB, or equivalent
  • Ability to builddashboards and automated reportsto support datadriven decisions

Collaboration & Leadership Behaviors

  • Ability to work crossfunctionally withProcess Integration, Device, Design, Test, Manufacturing, and foundry teams
  • Experience leading cross-functionalteamsindebug effortsto resolve yield, performance, and reliability issues
  • Strong communication skills to clearly presentcomplex technical datato broad range of audiences: junior engineers to executive leadership
  • Selfdriven with strongownership, accountability, and structured problemsolving

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Demonstrated impact inmanufacturing, yield, and/or reliabilityroles
  • Experience serving as atechnical interface to foundriesand internal stakeholders (POR/CIP optimization)
  • Experience buildingreusable analytics pipelines(SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Dataiku, Tableau, Spotfire)
  • Demonstrated technical leadership or mentorship of junior engineers
