Full Compass Systems is a family-owned business with nearly 50 years of building strong relationships with both employees and customers. We are a one-stop shop for audio, video, lighting, and musical equipment, serving organizations of all sizes-from Fortune 100 companies to local startups and everything in between.

We are seeking a part-time Line Cook/Baker to join our onsite corporate dining team. This role prepares high-quality food items, supports daily kitchen operations, and contributes to a positive, customer-focused experience. Ideal candidates bring strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.

Schedule

Monday: 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Tuesday: 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Thursday: Off
Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Part-time hours are scheduled based on business needs. Employees may have the opportunity to leave early or be asked to end shifts early during slower periods.

There is also the potential for occasional weekend work.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items based on business forecasts and catering needs, including baked goods, salads, sandwiches, cold entrees, and other prepared dishes.
  • Bake desserts, breads, pastries, and other items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist with lunch preparation and service, using the fryer, flattop grill, and charcoal grill.
  • Restock and maintain coffee stations throughout the shift.
  • Stock, rotate, and maintain vending products using FIFO (first-in, first-out) inventory practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure all food and beverage items are presented in an appealing and consistent manner.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Wisconsin Food Code requirements.
  • Provide professional and positive service to internal customers and team members.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet service timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support catering functions and special events as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental goals.
Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of one year of kitchen experience.
  • Proficiency in baking, food preparation, and cooking techniques, including use of fryer, flattop grill, and charcoal grill.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a corporate restaurant environment. The role requires the ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Tasks involve standing for extended periods, walking, reaching above shoulders, and safely using standard kitchen equipment, along with occasional use of a computer. Frequent exposure to hot surfaces, kitchen equipment, and varying temperatures. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring consistent movement and multitasking.
