Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Sr Manager, Pre Sales Engineering Security to join our shared services.

Primary Responsibility:

The Senior Manager of Engineering, Security Presales is responsible for leading and managing the pre-sales engineering function across the Access Control, CCTV, IDS, A/V, and Structured cabling. This individual oversees a team of Pre-Sales Engineering Supervisors and Technical Leads who support solution design, system specification, and technical sales strategy. This role ensures the successful translation of customer requirements into innovative, cost-effective, and code-compliant system designs.

This position plays a critical role in aligning engineering capabilities with business development, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving revenue growth through technical excellence.



  • Develop and maintain design standards, proposal templates, and estimation tools.
  • Review complex solutions for scalability, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
  • Drive consistency in solution architecture and bill of materials development
  • Allocate resources to support sales opportunities across teams

  • Serve as a technical advisor to sales, estimating, and executive teams



  • Participate in strategic planning sessions for key accounts and complex projects


  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Field Operations, and Post-Sales Engineering teams
  • Implement QA processes to validate engineering outputs prior to handoff
  • Provide feedback to product and R&D teams on customer needs and market trends
  • Partner with Training and Compliance to ensure the team is aligned with certifications and regulatory standards


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in Engineering, Information Technology, Security Management, or related fields.
  • 7+ years' experience in electronic security, fire, or systems integration industries
  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role overseeing teams or technical supervisors
  • Strong understanding of pre-sales processes, system design, and proposal development
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certifications: NICET, Genetec, Lenel, Notifier, CCNA, or equivalent
  • Experience with system design and quoting platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, D-Tools, Salesforce CPQ)
  • Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, UL standards, and low-voltage systems



Salary Range: 131k-185k
