Velosity Brooklyn Park is searching for a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving of all materials and products.

This is an on-site position.

The typical pay range for this role: $20.00-$26.00. This role is also eligible for our 5% quarterly bonus target.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

Essential Duties:

  • Receive, label, and stock materials and products
  • Digitally track and move all packaging, raw materials and manufactured products within the warehouse to maintain accurate lot traceability / lot integrity.
  • Communicate and execute material moves with other departments to assure quality and availability of products for manufacturing or shipment.
  • Perform all aspects of shipping and receiving products.
  • Clean and organize the warehouse area
  • Perform regular cycle counts to audit inventory accuracy
  • Recommend changes which will improve productivity and/or efficiency for continual improvement
  • Work cooperatively with all employees
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED-General Studies
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Preferred 2 years warehouse experience
  • Must be able to multitask; professional communication between coworkers and other departments; basic computer skills
  • To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision in a fast paced environment; to be able to solve practical problems and work effectively with customers, vendors and other departments.
  • Knowledge of proper use of forklift, pallet jacks, scales and other shipping equipment; working knowledge of inventory control systems including bar code systems.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.

Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.

Protective Clothing Required:

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
