Vice President/ Justice Market Sector Pursuit Leader - Buildings

STV's Buildings' Justice Market Sector Pursuit Leader (JPL) is responsible for leading the STV Buildings' long-lead pursuit and capture efforts for justice-sector opportunities nationwide, with a primary emphasis on jails, detention facilities, courthouses, and related justice infrastructure. This role will be the driving force behind STV's most significant and complex justice pursuits for the duration of each pursuit. The JPL will build upon STV's existing justice portfolio and relationships-while leveraging their own national client, builder, and teaming networks-to lead teams shaping gotomarket strategies and deliver winning outcomes for mustwin pursuits. This nonbillable leadership role is a respected seller-leader who excels at facilitation, strategy development, and competitive positioning for highstakes opportunities. The role reports to the Buildings National Development Director and works in close collaboration with Justice Chief Architect and Justice Market Sector Leader as well as Buildings Area Managers and other relevant MSLs (e.g., Health + Well-being).

Managing Major Justice Pursuits

  • Drive STV's largest and most strategic justice pursuits nationwide, including complex and highvisibility jail, courthouse, and justicecampus programs.
  • Lead pursuit teams through strategic planning, competitive assessments, SWOT analyses, and teaming strategy development.
  • Map clients, including identifying decision makers, influencers, and informational outlets, and lead efforts to understand how decisions are made and how our strategy should shift accordingly.
  • Lead client outreach efforts for specific opportunities, including setting client meetings (as appropriate), leading call planning, attending and leading/facilitating client discussions, and conducting debriefs.
  • Develop compelling, clientfocused win strategies that clearly articulate STV's value proposition for justice facilities.
  • Champion the integration of innovative delivery approaches, digital tools, and differentiated design and program strategies appropriate to justice environments.
  • Guide proposal and interview strategy, including messaging frameworks, narratives, resumes, graphics, and storytelling.
  • Coach presenters and executive stakeholders to deliver polished, persuasive justicefocused interviews.
  • Provide oversight and direction to proposal managers and pursuit support teams to seamlessly integrate sales case.
  • Partner with leadership to identify and recruit key hires who strengthen STV's competitive position.
  • Prepare and deliver internal presentations for strategy and corporate reviews periodically
  • Collaborate with Buildings Area Managers to align pursuit efforts within regional pipelines.
  • Ensure major justice pursuits are accurately maintained in STV's CRM (Vantagepoint).

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience leading major pursuits and strategic growth initiatives within the AEC industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, and highstakes pursuits, ideally within justice, civic, correctional, or institutional markets.
  • Experience supporting programs exceeding $500M in construction value.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and visual communication skills with executivelevel presence.
  • Strong critical thinking, creativity, and competitive sales strategy capabilities.
  • Proven ability to facilitate and lead multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business development, marketing, communications, architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Comparable experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Compensation Range:

$172,102.32 - $196,688.36
