Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager, Perioperative Services is responsible for the comprehensive operational, clinical, and financial oversight of perioperative services across assigned facility(s). The incumbent is accountable for all aspects of performance within the assigned area or program ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based patient care in alignment with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. This role directs a multi-disciplinary team and maintains accountability for departmental operational processes, staffing, scheduling, budgetary performance, and financial accountability. The Nurse Manager leads the development and implementation of departmental goals, policies, and performance improvement initiatives, and is responsible for the selection, onboarding, competency validation, performance evaluation, and professional development of all assigned perioperative coworkers. The incumbent fosters a culture of patient safety, service excellence, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement, and serves as a key operational and clinical resource for care providers, and interdisciplinary care teams across the surgical enterprise. This position works under limited oversight and exercises wide latitude of authority in determining departmental goals and measures to achieve operational and clinical objectives.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

    • inimum 2 years management experience; preferably in a hospital or large, complex healthcare system
    • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
    • Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively collect, analyze, and interpret data, including report creation and data validation
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification
  • Prior experience in unit specific service line business

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science, Nursing
  • Master of Business Admin
  • MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
