As a Banquet Captain at The Pfister Hotel, you will assist, supervise, and train staff in the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet rooms. You will ensure policies and standards are followed regarding room preparation, cleanliness, staff grooming, and guest service. You will also act as a liaison between guests and management to ensure a seamless banquet experience.

What you will be doing:

• Assist and train banquet staff in the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to contracts and manager instructions.

• Assist and train staff in the service of food and beverages to ensure standards are upheld.

• Communicate frequently with managers regarding daily operations and progress.

• Communicate with guests to ensure their needs are being met during events.

• Oversee staff in maintaining the cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage spaces.

• Monitor and maintain inventory of banquet supplies.

• Ensure staff adhere to The Pfister's high standards of quality, service, and grooming.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to understand and communicate in English to follow instructions and communicate with staff and guests.

• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.

• Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with reasonable accommodation.

• Basic knowledge of food preparation.

• Previous banquet server experience required; prior hospitality supervisory experience preferred.

• Must adhere to Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option for union membership after 90 days.

Job Type: Part-Time, Hourly

Pay Rate: $11.38 per hour
