Position Summary

The UNM Anderson School of Management is seeking a creative and motivated student to join the Communications and Events team as a Creative Production Assistant. This role focuses on producing visual content, with an emphasis on photography and video that highlights Anderson's programs, events, and student experience.

As part of Anderson's student team, this position provides hands-on experience creating professional visual content while working closely with staff mentors. Students in this role will help develop ideas, pitch creative concepts, and take initiative on projects while building practical media production skills and a professional portfolio.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong work ethic and be dependable, organized, and creative, with an interest in photography, videography, and visual storytelling. Successful applicants will be comfortable contributing ideas and collaborating with the Communications and Events team to produce engaging content that supports Anderson's communications efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Majoring in Film, Media Arts, Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or a related field
  • Experience with photography and/or videography, including shooting and editing visual content
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Lightroom
  • Familiarity with additional Adobe Creative Cloud tools (such as Photoshop, After Effects, or Illustrator) is a plus
  • Understanding of video and social media content best practices, particularly short-form and vertical video formats
  • Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut or similar mobile editing platforms is a plus
  • Ability to contribute creative ideas, pitch content concepts, and take initiative on projects
  • Comfort working both behind the camera and occasionally on camera when needed
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms used by organizations, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Availability of approximately 20 hours per week during regular business hours
