The Midwest's largest family-owned security company is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team! This role will focus on coordinating our acquisition/merger process; including working with sellers to understand customers and services provided and how that matches with Per Mar Security/Midwest Alarm Services, and coordinating the follow up across the company to ensure all necessary items are transitioned.

About this Role

As the Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint through proactive outreach and project management. You will manage the acquisition pipeline from the initial contact through the final stages of operational integration. This position requires a blend of sales-minded persistence, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across all corporate functions. It is essential that this candidate have the willingness to learn the details of Per Mar's business for the purposes of integration.

  • Target Outreach: Research and identify potential acquisition targets within the security and life safety industry; perform initial outbound contact and follow-up to build a pipeline of interested sellers.
  • Market Analysis: Work with sellers to gather preliminary data regarding customer base, service offerings, and financial health to determine alignment with company goals.
  • Project Coordination: Drive the day-to-day management of acquisition tasks, ensuring functional plans are executed on schedule from LOI (Letter of Intent) to closing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with department managers to align integration strategies:
  • Accounting: Assist with due diligence and ensure accounts are billed timely and accurately
  • Operations: Ensure service standards and operational workflows are maintained during the transition.
  • HR: Support the smooth transfer of employees and benefits.
  • IT: Coordinate the migration of IT systems, infrastructure, and technology assets.
  • Reporting: Communicate project progress, potential risks, and outreach metrics to senior leadership.
  • Integration Management: Oversee the input of customer accounts into database software and coordinate monitoring conversions with the Monitoring Center.
  • Relationship Management: Establish trust with sellers and newly acquired employees to ensure a positive transition.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Deep working knowledge of Per Mar Security and Midwest Alarm Services, systems used and services provided, understanding the monitoring center and working with the monitoring center closely on migrations
  • 3+ years of experience in security/alarm industry
  • Strong preference to internal candidates
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of business operations, finance, legal, and technology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Travel required as necessary

High School Diploma/GED

Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
