Ecolab is seekingaChemical Plant Operator IIto join our teaminEllwood City, PA Plant.As a Chemical Plant Operator II,you'llhelp deliver products that support clean water, safe food, and healthy environments around the world.You'llbe responsible foroperatingand controlling chemical processing systems and equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your experience, expand your technical skills, and contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

HowYou'llMake an Impact:

  • Review daily mix schedules and confirm availability of required raw materials to ensure smooth production flow

  • Accurately add raw materials to mixing systems using manual methods, pumps, or automated equipment, following standard mix instructions

  • Operate andmonitorchemical processing equipment such as heating vessels, mixing tanks, and automated feed systems

  • Regulate the flow of liquids and gases through equipment using valves, meters, and control panels

  • Set up and adjustindicatingand controlling devices tomaintainoptimalprocess conditions

  • Observe gauges, signals, and recording instruments tomonitortemperature, pressure, and flow

  • Draw and test product samples at various stages to ensure batch quality and compliance with specifications

  • Partner with Quality team members to resolve batch discrepancies and ensure compliance with standards

  • Maintainaccurateproduction records, equipment logs, and shift documentation

  • Perform thorough cleaning of all mix tanks and associated equipment tomaintaina safe and sanitary work environment

  • Operate forklifts, palletizers, scales, pumps, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

  • Identifyand troubleshoot equipment or process issues, escalating as needed

  • Contribute to a culture of safety by following all Ecolab safety protocols andparticipatingin safety initiatives

  • Collaborate with team members toidentifyand implement process improvements aligned with Ecolab's continuous improvement goals

  • Performadditionalduties as assigned to support plant operations and team success

Position Details:

  • Plant Location: Ellwood City, PA Plant

  • Work Week & Shift: Rotating schedule: Week 1: 11pm-7am; Week 2: 3pm-11pm; Week 3: 7am-3pm

  • Compensation: $37.67 ph with .45 shift differential

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma,or GED

  • 1year of experience in a chemical plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment

  • 1 year ofexperience with industrial (large batch) mixing experience, mixing multiple tanks at once

  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Physical Requirements of Position:

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high

  • Experience working safely and efficiently in a chemical or manufacturing environment

  • Ability to understand systems, pumps, read meters, basic Quality Control data and to track mixing and quality information (mix logs, batch adjustments, etc.)

  • Ability to perform basic Quality Control tests (perform pH testing, take samples)

  • Excellent attention to detail; must be able to simultaneously mix several tanks and accurately complete related documents

  • ExperienceoperatingaForklift

  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical handling

  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Experience working effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$37.67 ph Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
