Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Work Unit Management Support for the Tenants Contract, supporting the Air Force Division at the Air Force Research Laboratory Science and Technology Division (AFRL/RWT) at Eglin AFB, FL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and up to 3 years of experience
  • *Active Secret Security Clearance, or the ability obtain one. (U.S. Citizenship required)*
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Microsoft Excel, maintaining multiple spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of Air Force instructions and operations
  • Excellent customer service experience and skills
  • Outstanding attention-to-detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Prior Air Force experience, familiar with AF and AFRL organizational structure
  • Professional experience in administrative duties & office organization
  • Competency in Microsoft Power BI is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Work Unit Management support for AFRL/RW, advising and assisting government Program Managers (PMs) on a daily basis in developing, creating, approving, closing, maintaining, and reporting on work units in accordance with DoD and AF regulations and public laws.
  • Provide program management assistance and advisory services for several automated Microsoft access tools, any replacement tools, and their interconnectivity with external systems such as Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Enterprise Business System (EBS) and PEGA Software Application Suite
  • Maintain work units ensuring the integrity of the data, and processing reports for all customers regarding Unified Research and Engineering Database (URED) status, contractor/contract information, case file close out, research summary, unapproved work units, missing paperwork and missing fields, ensuring the specific types of data will satisfy government needs are acquired.
  • Accomplish all tasks associated with work units within the selected application and ensure data is transmitted to HQ AFRL Data Repository (ADR) and DTIC Unified Research and Engineering Database (URED)
  • Ensure permissions are set appropriately within the PEGA Work Unit App. Maintain expert familiarity with the requirements and programs within PEGA/COGNOS/PIEE data systems.
  • Conduct training sessions on PEGA Work Unit App, COGNOS, and Work Unit requirements for Directorate on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide acquisition management advisory and assistance expertise for preparation of memos, briefings, and reports related to work unit management and participate in selected Directorate meetings.
  • Advise and assist AFRL/RW Work Unit managers to keep abreast of current policy, procedures, standardization, and streamlining initiatives applicable to data management and recommend changes as needed.
  • Assist Program Managers with maintaining their electronic Case Files, providing assistance with assigned functional area(s) and/or technical division(s). implementing, managing and executing various Information Management Programs using databases, tool suites, and automation tools in order to maintain currency and accessibility of associated data/information, to provide insight to upper management and HHQ
  • Coordinate with RW Area Records Manager (ARM) to ensure Case Files are approved, compliant and retired correctly.
  • Provide advice and assistance in support to the Munitions Directorate on Technical Report and Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) Liaison. This includes actions such as:
    • Reviews technical publications and forms for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all documents are formatted properly IAW governing directives.
    • Edits documents for format and required features, and coordinates with primary authors and Branch/Division Technical Advisors concerning technical content
    • Coordinates with RW STINFO to ensure the correct Distribution, Destruction information, and Export Control labeling is in place
    • Collects completed technical documents, publications, and required forms from Work Unit Managers and obtaining report numbers from Wing/TD STINFO officer.
  • Advise and assist in support of RW on the functions related to Contractual Data Management IAW DoD and AF regulations, pertaining to Contract Requirements List. The Contractor shall be competent in all aspects of applicable data management disciplines and be able to devise new approaches to data management problems encountered; works independently, but with some guidance, to achieve specific objectives on related tasks in accordance with latest regulatory and headquarters direction.
  • Provide advice and assistance to AFRL/RW with transmitting training data to HQ AFRL for statistical analysis.
  • Assist with review and data analysis on work unit statistics within RW.
  • Provide advice and recommendations for process improvements to the branch chief/team lead for work unit management as member of analysis and improvement team of work unit processes.
  • Assists with other administrative tasks as needed/assigned.
