Reingold Internship Program

This internship program is your opportunity to discover what it really means to work for a full-service communications agency.You'lllearn the ins and outs of your department, work as a valued member of project teams, and collaborate with experts in various departments. Reingold offers you opportunities to tailor the internship experience to your interests and strength- all while working on causes that really matter.

Internships are full-time and in person (40 hours) during the standard workweek and pay an hourly rate of $20. The internship class begins on Thursday, June 4, and runs through Friday, November 20, 2026. Core hours during the internship are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. This internship requires five in-office days (Monday - Friday) at our office in Alexandria, Virginia.

What It Means to be a Reingold IT Intern

This position offers a rare and exciting chance togain hands-on experience with end-user support, device lifecycle management, and enterprise IT operations while developing strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. They will also build a foundational understanding of security best practices, documentation, and professional communication in a corporate IT environment.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing standardized laptop OS reloads and imaging via Autopilot, PXE, or USB.
  • Managing the physical hardware refresh cycle, including unboxing, asset tagging, and peripheral kitting.
  • Coordinating equipment distribution and recoverylogisticsfor all internal staff.
  • Monitoring the inbound ticketing queue to ensure proper categorization and initial triage.
  • Providing front-line support for common software "how-to" questions and VPN connectivity.
  • Assistingwith routine identity tasks such as password resets and MFA re-enrollment.
  • Performing secure data destruction and hard drive wipes for retired assets tomaintaincompliance.
  • Conducting workspace and conference room "wellness" checks to ensure A/V and cabling standards.
  • Drafting and updating self-service knowledge base articles based on resolved tickets.
  • A baseline understanding of security principles like "Least Privilege" and the importance of data privacy.

We'relooking forcandidateswith the following qualifications and skills:

  • Possessanassociates's degree.
  • Foundational hardware knowledge (RAM/SSD swaps and port identification).
  • Basic OS fluency in Windows and macOS system settings and command-line interfaces.
  • Strong customer empathy and the ability to remain professional under pressure.
  • High levelof resourcefulness with a "research-first" instinct when facing unknown issues.
  • Extreme attention to detailregardingasset serial numbers and user configuration.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for translating technical steps to non-technical users.
