Our divisions span Nano Analytics, Nano Surfaces & Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Spatial Biology.

The Bruker Nano Surfaces division needs an electro-mechanical Receiving Inspector to help us evaluate and qualify the parts, components and assemblies required to manufacture our market-leading Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) systems.



Responsibilities

    Perform inspection of highly complex parts, materials, components and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractors utilizing Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing, (GD&T) and works from engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Assists or determines methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection
  • Effectively communicate with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering regarding drawings on technical issues
  • Perform complex inspection setups using:
    • Surface plate
    • Hand metrology tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, gages, pins, Height Master, and optical comparator
    • Faro Arm
    • Mitutoyo Optical Measurement system
  • Inspect cables using the Cable Eye or equivalent equipment and software


Qualifications

  • Ability to use standard metrology hand tools, CMMs and the cable tester;
  • understand how to perform continuity tests on cables
  • Must be proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • SAP software
  • Excell software
  • CMM experience (Faro Arm preferred)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Optics inspection
  • Electronics inspection

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a high school education-2 year degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in receiving inspection with electro-mechanical parts and assemblies required.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds

The estimated hourly pay range for this temporary position is between $24.00 and $40.00. The hourly pay rate for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
