Duties: American Precision Industries, Inc. (dba Portescap) seeks a Manager, Sourcing in West Chester, Pennsylvania to manage purchasing and supply chain operations. Manage the company's supply portfolio and operations. Improve sourcing activities by analyzing spending and supplying partnerships. Lead purchasing activities that support prototype projects, pre-production, and the transition to production. Select from approved suppliers or identify and develop new supplier options by obtaining knowledge of suppliers' manufacturing processes and inspection methods in order to optimize quality, delivery, and cost. Support production related sourcing activities including problem solving material shortages, supplier performance monitoring, identifying and pursuing cost savings opportunities, and developing sourcing related processes and tools. Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking. Lead Kaizens and continuous improvement activities. Work with Enterprise Sourcing team to align key tools, KPIs, and supply base. Support New Product Development ("NPD") design and manufacturing by providing supplier identification, component quoting, and project costing. Lead the sourcing transition from R&D or NPD to production. Drive reductions in supplier lead time for prototype components. Support the procurement and supply chain process for manufacturing equipment and processes, including laser welding, lathe machines, milling machines, CNCs, and transfer molding. Supervise direct subordinates. Local telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Annual salary: $103,085 - $200,400/year. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, plus two years of purchasing and supply chain management experience. Must have at least two years of experience in each of the following: 1. Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggesting methods to decrease expenditure; 2. Performing cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking; 3. Leading Kaizens and continuous improvement activities; 4. Supporting New Product Development ("NPD") design and manufacturing by providing supplier identification, component quoting, and project costing; 5. Leading the sourcing transition from R&D or NPD to production; and 6. Supporting the procurement and supply chain process for manufacturing equipment and processes, including laser welding, lathe machines, milling machines, CNCs, and transfer molding.
