The Senior Manager, Commercial Finance, plays a critical role in supporting commercial decision-making through detailed financial evaluation of customer agreements and long-term contracts for the USCA Refinish Collison segment. You will partner with Sales, Legal and Commercial Operations to ensure customer contracts are financially sound, compliant with corporate policies, and aligned to the Refinish Collision businesses' strategic and profitability objectives. You will also support sales incentives plan related to the Collision segment and manage a team of two business analysts. You will work with senior leaders in the business including the Refinish Americas VP, Senior Sales Directors and reports to the Finance Director, Refinish Americas. You will work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) from our Pittsburgh, PA headquarters. - Evaluate contract proposals to assess financial implications, profitability, and risk. Provide recommendations to improve profitability of proposals supported by scenario modelling.
- Create new models to support different go-to-market strategies as proposed by the commercial teams. Where models introduce new pricing concepts, you will work cross-functionally to implement.
- Translate important deal points into a working financial model. Educate sales team on ways to improve profitability of deal to achieve key profitability metrics.
- Perform scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and profitability impact assessments for complex deal structures.
- Analyze contract terms related to pricing, rebates, volume commitments, service levels, penalties, and performance guarantees.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities in contract clauses and recommend mitigations or alternative approaches.
- Provide finance support during contract negotiation cycles, including creation of deal models and value based financial insights.
- Communicate financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Influence through communications and presentations.
- Monitor contract performance post execution, ensuring adherence to financial terms, KPIs, and margin expectations.
- Recommend changes and enhancement to system that supports contracts to ensure deal scoring is aligned to strategic direction of the collision business.
- Partner with accounting and revenue management teams to ensure revenue recognition, accruals, and rebate processing while understanding the impact of changes to Refinish USCA financial results.
- Maintain governance over contract documentation and support internal audit and compliance reviews.
Sales Incentive Plans:
- Lead the end-to-end calculation of Sales Incentive Plan payouts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to plan rules for the collision segment.
- Partner with HR Compensation and Sales Leadership to interpret SIP rules, clarify plan mechanics, and ensure that they administer the plan in a compliant manner related to the Collision sales team. Recommend changes to ensure SIP plans support strategic direction of the collision segment.
- Support the annual SIP design and review cycle by providing financial modeling, scenario testing, and impact analysis of proposed plan changes.
- Ensure governance, auditability, and internal controls are in place for SIP processes, documentation, and approvals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business / Accounting and 6+ years of financial or related experience
- Financial modeling and analytical abilities; Understanding of revenue recognition and profitability analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel required, experience with Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems a plus.
- Business partnering capabilities with ability to influence non finance stakeholders.
- Able to simplify complex financial topics through strong communication and presentation skills.
