Logistics Lead 2nd Shift

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Logistics Lead to work from our warehouse operations located in Tolleson, AZ on 2nd Shift. This position will work on a rotating 4-day/10 hour shift from 2pm - 12am as well as some weekends when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining floor presence while working with and supervising assigned staff.
• Pulls pallets of finished product on forklift for orders to distributors and distribution centers.
• Ensures accuracy of product placement in warehouse and product shipments.
• Unloads/loads conveyor; puts product into appropriate storage rows.
• Investigates, documents and reports all necessary shift incident reports to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Assists in the monitoring and rotation of stock and all replenishment activities.
• Assists in the monitoring and staffing of housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Routinely fills in for subordinate staff in order to meet fulfillment schedule and complete needed work assignments.
• Initiates process improvement and provides advice and recommendations to supervisor upon request.
• Must be flexible to cover other shifts including overtime and weekends in an event of vacation or call out of supervision, or due to business needs.
• Performs physical inventories as requested.
• Readily takes instruction from the supervisor and is eager to improve work activities and knowledge base.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position and/or shift.

Requirements

• Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
• 
  

  Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a warehouse environment.

  
  
• Recent forklift operating experience and ability to be certified day one of employment is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure the accurate handling and shipping of products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

• Knowledge of loading and shipping operations required to properly plan and executes daily shipping schedule.
