What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for the core intelligence of our hardware. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who views a PCB as a canvas for innovation-balancing sophisticated architecture with the rugged reliability required for global infrastructure. You won't just be designing circuits; you will be delivering the hardware that powers the future of e-mobility.



  • Lead the electrical circuit design and development of complex boards incorporating high-performance processors, memory, networking interfaces, and analog sensors
  • Architect solutions for motor control, board-level power distribution, and specialized charging electronics for our industry-leading product suite
  • Deliver designs that push the boundaries of feature richness while maintaining a fanatical focus on cost-efficiency and long-term reliability
  • Drive board-level architectures by distilling complex block diagrams into sub-components and circuit designs
  • Develop from discrete circuit levels up to full-scale systems, seeing your designs move from the lab into volume manufacturing and global field deployment


What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Strong electrical design intuition with a deep understanding of board-level engineering trade-offs
  • Proven experience implementing embedded processors, high-speed interfaces, and precision analog sensing/control circuits
  • Mastery of CAD, Schematic Capture, Simulation, and PCB Layout tools
  • A disciplined approach to testing and validating electrical designs, ensuring every result and margin is documented with precision
  • The ability to navigate software, mechanical, power, and thermal boundaries to ensure holistic system performance
  • A curious, inventive spirit paired with a commitment to quality and the drive to build market-defining products


Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing electronic products with a successful record of bringing complex designs into high-volume production
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $150,000 to $180,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits, or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and specific work location.
