Research Lab Technician I

Working in Dr. Mario Suva's research laboratory in the Department of Pathology at MGH, Molecular Pathology Unit. Successful candidate will be working independently under close supervision of the principal investigator and post-docs in the lab
and will carry out a broad range of research activities and procedures including but not limited to molecular biological techniques and tissue culture work.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
*Work independently on projects involving the study of brain tumors
*Will utilize molecular biology, biochemical, and cell biology techniques
*Set up and prepare routine experiments as directed
*Lab administrative responsibilities including ordering and tracking of laboratory supplies.
*Prepares basic solutions
*Prepares lab reagents, chemicals, instruments and equipment
*Conducts analysis of results

Education
BA/BS required preferably in a biological science. Some lab experience in addition to school lab experience is highly desirable.

Previous laboratory bench experience strongly preferred.
