Job Summary

Assists in obtaining and validating data to develop and maintain reports required to support consolidated university-wide reporting to the university Board of Trustees, Florida Board of Governors, legislature, and other external entities. Create dashboards and reports and performs variance and financial analysis in support of management and operational needs.

  • Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to the university Board of Trustees, Florida Board of Governors, legislature, and other external entities.
  • Prepares and maintains the university-wide financial performance variance review package in addition to assisting with the analysis and preparation of quarterly variance reporting to the CFO and university Board of Trustees.
  • Uses data analysis and visualization tools to create and maintain dashboards and reports and performs financial analysis in support of management and departmental operational needs. Assists in training of university-wide finance community on use of financial tools (dashboards and reports).
  • Prepares and distributes necessary reports associated with systematic budgetary controls and salary encumbrances in Commitment Control. Assists in training of university-wide finance community in processes and reports around budgetary controls and salary encumbrances.
  • Assists in the preparation, consolidation and reporting of the university annual Operating Budget. Prepares and maintains all management and departmental reports in support of the university annual operating budget. Assists in the preparation of the annual operating budget to the Florida Board of Governors.
  • Assists in the maintenance of chartfield structure, data, and reporting trees in PeopleSoft Financials.
  • Assists the Office of Financial Resource Management on special projects as needed.
  • Performs essential duties in any emergencies such as hurricanes, public health emergencies, and/or any other university emergency closing. The employee is expected to be available to report to work as needed during university emergency closing with appropriate notification of a department administrator.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight (8) years of related experience or Master's degree and five (5) years of related experience.



Work Schedule

Begin time: 8:30 AM

End time: 5:00 PM

Ability to work flexible hours as needed.



Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
