This is a regional role focused on protecting Cisco at events across the Americas. Your Impact The Risk Manager Americas Events, Corporate Security reports to the Senior Manager Corporate Security, Global Events. *Oversee and deliver end-to-end world-class event security, ensuring safety of all participants and assets. * Implement scalable security strategies, SOPs, and risk mitigation plans that align with business objectives. Balance proactive measures with real-time incident management. *Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and law enforcement. * Conduct event/location risk assessments, recommend risk reduction strategies, manage incident response, and perform after-action reviews for continuous improvement. *Collaborate with internal teams to monitor regional and local risks, provide accurate threat assessments, address sophisticated security issues, and ensure compliance with event security standards. *Leverage technology and standard methodologies to enhance event security operations and efficiency. Minimum Qualications *This role involves travel, both domestically and internationally, often on short notice, with up to 50% of the time spent traveling. *Valid driver's license and passport required. *First Aid and CPR certied (or willing to obtain). *Bachelor's degree preferred may be waved with equivalent experience; security certications (e.g., CPP) a plus. * 5+ years in law enforcement, military, or corporate security. *3+ years in high-tech industry preferred with proven experience in large scale event security. * Validated experience in leadership surrounding event planning, risk management, and relationship development. *Comfortable engaging with global audiences, attending meetings outside standard hours, and standing for extended periods during events. Preferred Qualications *Strong communicator, skilled in brieng executives and addressing diverse audiences. *Excellent critical thinker with strategic and tactical abilities; remains calm under pressure. *Proven experience developing comprehensive security plans and adapting to changing, multicultural environments. Experienced in networking with law enforcement at all levels. *Emotionally intelligent, receptive to feedback, and able to multitask and solve problems effectively, has high integrity, a sense of urgency, *Experienced in networking with law enforcement at all levels. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $139,500.00 - $211,700.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $124,100.00 - $185,300.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements. | |
