Position Summary
We are looking
for an experienced candidate to add to our equipment manufacturing team to
ensure our supply chain and logistics operations function properly. In this
role, you'll collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Sales, and
Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important.
You should also have experience in project management, as well as great
leadership and communication ability.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of
the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts)
Develop Supply Chain Management Team including Inventory
Specialists, Planning, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving.
Develop and implement processes to overcome supply chain
processes.
Own all physical inventory and cycle counting activities to
maintain inventory accuracy
Adjust, reconcile and manage all inventory including
activities including receiving and shipping.
Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials
and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory
Establishes performance metrics for measurement,
comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their
ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new
suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to
optimize production.
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests
improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the
company.
Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the
supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes
to processes.
Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with
attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
Identifies inventory and vendor trends to avoid disruptions
to manufacturing.
Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and
staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading,
movement, and storage of materials.
Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to
identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective
supply chain.
Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with
suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find
bottlenecks and other issues
Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly
Train and guide employees
Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery,
accidents)
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated
plans for business growth
Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of

Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and
standards
Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required
or equivalent experience required
Experience
5 years directly related experience
as a supply chain manager or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
Hands on experience with supply chain management
software.

Annual Salary: $120,000 to
$140,000 DOE.
