*Payroll Analyst* *Location:* Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office), Boston, MA
Our client is seeking an experienced *Payroll Analyst* to support the accurate and timely processing of U.S. payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Accounting, and Payroll leadership to resolve payroll issues, maintain data integrity, and support continuous improvement initiatives. *Responsibilities* * Support end-to-end processing of biweekly U.S. payroll, including multi-state exempt and non-exempt populations * Review payroll inputs for accuracy (new hires, terminations, pay changes, timecards, and special earnings) * Process off-cycle payrolls, corrections, and retroactive pay calculations * Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner * Maintain payroll data integrity across systems including ADP platforms and related applications * Perform payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance * Ensure payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws * Process garnishments, levies, and other involuntary deductions * Support payroll tax reconciliations and coordination with ADP Tax * Prepare ad hoc payroll reports and data analysis for internal stakeholders * Assist with payroll system testing, updates, and enhancements * Identify data issues and work with HRIT/IT partners to resolve them * Document payroll procedures and process updates * Support payroll-related projects, audits, and cross-functional initiatives *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required * Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle payroll experience * Experience processing multi-state payrolls (nice to have; required in prior environments) * Experience with ADP payroll systems required (ADP Workforce Now or ADP Vantage preferred) * Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or FPC preferred * Experience in a shared services environment with strong understanding of HR cycles * Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax compliance, and HR compliance * Solid understanding of payroll-related general ledger entries * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion * Comfortable working in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment * Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and payroll systems * Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $22.25 - $54.07/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
