*Description*
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Essential Functions Operate highlevel mail equipment including mail inserters, sorters, and finishing equipment in an automated highspeed, highvolume environment; includes packaging and posting Perform chargeback reporting for postage, air express, local delivery, and faxes Perform production mail labeling and mail merge functions Provide mailing address cleanup services, which may include the use of mail cleansing software Coordinate automated and manual processes for finishing and mailing client materials Implement and maintain distribution and tracking systems Use customized software to update and maintain mailing addresses Perform bar code address quality review Manage electronic input, packaging activities, and posting fulfillment in highspeed/highvolume operations Recommend improvements to achieve cost savings and optimize workflow Act as focal contact for special or unique mailings and shipments Use specialized material handling equipment when required Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies; notify recipients Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs Record and process accountable mail information and maintain logs Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express, and local delivery services Prepare mail and packages for external shipment and coordinate deliveries and pickups (may include USPS pickup and delivery) Perform quality checks on outbound mail Validate internal mail addresses, including bar code address lookup Use common mail services including fax, air express, and postal services Complete shipping forms and/or enter information electronically in shipping terminals per job tickets Perform finishing work on documents to be mailed, including folding and insertion Perform electronic mail distribution (open, mail preparation, scan, and distribute) Perform fulfillment functions such as assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of kitted materials Follow mailroom security procedures Perform barcode tracking or face scanning of incoming mail and packages Perform logging, transmission, receipt, and timely distribution of faxes Perform shipping and receiving using automated systems to track and manage activity Monitor, order, and replenish supply inventory related to mail and distribution activities Send and receive email messages Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements Fully operate, clean, and maintain all shipping and mail equipment Contact service providers for mail and shipping equipment when needed Skills Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Ability to read, write, and follow English instructions Demonstrated intermediate PC and internet skills, including: Downloading and installing files (fonts, drivers, etc.) from internet sites Opening, completing, saving, and printing internet forms Performing mail merges Intermediate knowledge of MS Word or equivalent, including: Inserting images Creating and managing tables and columns Editing headers and footers Creating forms Creating and managing multiple sections Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel or equivalent, including: Navigating multiple worksheets within a workbook Creating charts and graphs Using basic math functions Creating basic formulas Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint or equivalent, including: Creating basic presentations Opening saved files Printing using different options Working knowledge of accountrelevant applications (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, file conversion, or graphic arts applications) Basic knowledge of networks, such as adding or deleting a network printer Basic knowledge of Digital Front Ends Functional knowledge of macOS when required by the client Ability to determine output packaging per packaging standards (e.g., books, tabs, etc.) Driving capability, if required Ability to operate mail equipment per training, including: Finishing equipment Inserters Postage meters Envelope printers Scales Pitney Bowes Mail Management Systems FedEx shipping systems Demonstrated customer service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision Ability to perform data entry Ability to use Production Mail Software Ability to estimate and schedule mailing jobs, including operators, job path, and time requirements Ability to train and mentor other mail client associates Experience 1-2 years of knowledge and experience with mail procedures and operating mail equipment Education Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalency Education Verification Yes *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Overland Park, KS. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
