WeCARE Queens Supervisor - Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS)

The WeCARE Queens Supervisor for Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) will partner with the Assistant Director of VRS to oversee the Vocational Rehabilitation Services case management team. This team is responsible for delivering services to WeCARE Queens clients who are deemed employable with accommodations.

The VRS Supervisor will support and lead the implementation of a strategically focused vocational services plan, ensuring full compliance with all NYC HRA contractual requirements.

Clients enrolled annually in Vocational Rehabilitation Services are expected to achieve competitive employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction to VRS case management staff
  • Provide direction to subcontractor, Fedcap, staff
  • Support and implement strategic vocational service plans
  • Ensure compliance with NYC HRA contractual requirements
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of departmental trainings and training materials for UBA WeCARE VRS case managers
  • Support staff in executing service plans, including:
    • Accessing services to address medical and health diagnoses
    • Accessing services to address behavioral health conditions
    • Addressing barriers to employment, including obtaining approved forms of government identification, interview attire, childcare, Office of Child Support Enforcement matters, credit improvement, and related needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and direct staff effectively
  • Experience assisting in the development of detailed policies and procedures

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to requests from multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of software systems including SEAMS and EPIC
