Responsibilities Primary responsibility for this position is reviewing, analyzing and rendering a decision on direct and indirect consumer loans within credit guidelines and lending authority. This position works in an assigned centralized lending queue and approves, denies or provides loan originator with a counter offer for each application. This person must have the ability to interpret credit reports and other financial information related to an application to determine if it is an acceptable credit risk and potential mitigates. This person would also use fraud detection tools in addition to diligence in evaluating an application to determine potential fraudulent applications and acceptable mitigation measures. This person must be able to excel in a fast paced team environment focused making solid credit based business decisions for our members that drive efficiency, production and while mitigating losses. Is cross-trained to process, approve, deny or make recommendations on workout loan applications within lending authority. Continuously focuses on assisting members with long term resolutions to financial hardships while minimizing losses to the credit union.
