Site Reliability Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is an 12+ month contract opportunity.

Our client is forming a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and is seeking an experienced SRE to help establish their practices from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to influence and set the culture for a new team focused on service reliability and customer experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and maintaining Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).

Responsibilities:

• Establish SRE tasks and processes from the ground up
• Generate and maintain CUJs, SLIs, and SLOs
• Conduct blameless postmortems and manage error budgets
• Drive reliability and focus on the customer experience of the service
• Communicate effectively and confidently with business stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
• Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and NALSD
• The ability to code in any language
• Experience with Agile development practices
• Knowledge of SQL and DevOps principles
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present your position with confidence

Desired skills:

• A background in software development or DevOps

Pay range: $60 - $68 per hour
