Scope

Manager all aspects of production throughput, safety, quality and employee relations within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written procedures and instructions in English.
  • Ensure employees understand, perform, and operate in accordance to established procedures.
  • Hold employees accountable to all company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Organizes employee work schedules and priorities to meet departmental and manufacturing goals.
  • Monitors inventory and supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise multiple employees at both the offsite warehouse and the main plant. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge/understanding of one-three computer/technological hardware and/or software programs; requires ability to apply knowledge as needed.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

To perform this job successfully, an individual must certify to QM-01 (Quality Manual) within 90 days.

Other Skills and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, and individual must have a basic knowledge of equipment functions, skills, and processes pertaining to area of supervision.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch or feel items; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; perform repetitive motion.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will be required to carry up to 50 pounds, a distance of 25 feet, up to two times per shift. The employee will also be required to push/pull up to 150 pounds, a distance of 100 feet, up to 10 times per shift using a cart so that the employee may push/pull production carts and handle/haul raw material, chemistry, and finished product.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus for quality inspections.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals in order to operate manufacturing equipment, work with chemicals used in manufacturing process, and climb into plating/electroless lines.

This job requires working with open-top chemical tanks. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, so hearing protection is required.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
