Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Scientist/Data Manager to support data collection, database design and data management of analytical testing results for surface water and sediment projects, and risk assessments within the Water, Natural Resources and Ecotoxicology business unit. The successful candidate will be integrated into an existing team of scientists and engineers currently pursuing and executing a wide range of multidisciplinary projects and programs for a variety of commercial, county, state and federal clients.


Responsibilities

* Participate in the planning and scheduling calls for upcoming field efforts
* Perform login reviews from the analytical laboratories and track data deliverables and alert the project manager and/or task manager of delays
* Review data packages and electronic data deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
* Upload data into EQuIS, perform quality checks, and generate data tables
* Perform quality control checks data validation reports and electronic data deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance


Required Qualifications

  • Successful applicants should have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Three or more years environmental data management experience.
  • Ability to work as part of a team supporting data management of analytical testing results for sediment and surface water projects, and risk assessments, and additional assigned tasks within Water, Natural Resources and Ecotoxicology or other business units.
  • Strong organization, database design, data analysis, chemistry, and environmental data management skills a must.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel) necessary, SQL Server, VB programming, GIS and/or statistics experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of EQuIS, Scribe and other technical software programs a plus.

Pay Range
$72,055 $90,068 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
