Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch and Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. Each internship offers a meaningful experience and impactful projects you'll be able to discuss with future employers. At Medica, we look forward to our Summer Internship Program each year.

We're looking for a motivated Marketing Intern to support the Brand Marketing team at Medica, helping bring our brand to life through real-world activation, storytelling, and integrated campaigns. This role offers hands-on experience supporting how Medica shows up in-market - across campaigns, channels, and moments that matter to members, employers and communities.

The intern will gain exposure to brand strategy, creative development, and campaign execution, working closely with cross-functional partners including creative, digital, analytics, and media teams. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful business outcomes while gaining experience in a collaborative marketing environment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities



  • Support the planning and execution of brand marketing campaigns and activations, including seasonal and always-on initiatives
  • Assist with content development and activation across channels such as email, web, social and paid media
  • Help coordinate timelines, assets, and deliverables with internal partners to help bring campaigns to market
  • Conduct market, audience, and competitive research and summarize insights to inform brand messaging and creative direction
  • Support campaign reporting and performance analysis to understand what's working and where the brand is resonating
  • Contribute to collaboration across the broader marketing team and participate in team meetings, reviews, and brainstorming sessions


Required Qualifications




  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field




Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with social media platforms or content creation
  • Familiarity with marketing tools (e.g., email platforms, analytics tools, project management software)
  • Previous internship, coursework, or campus leadership experience related to marketing


Skills and Abilities



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Interest in learning about marketing strategy, operations, and execution


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $34,100 - $43,900. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
