Pipe Inspection Camera Operator - CO0426 Sanders Brother Construction is currently seeking a pipe inspection camera operator to support our Vacuum and Camera department. The Pipe Inspection Camera Operator will be responsible for driving a large panel cargo vehicle and operating digital camera equipment used for the inspection of underground utility lines. This position may require overnight travel periodically throughout the state of South Carolina. Sanders Brothers Construction has provided construction related services to the area since the early '60's. Role and Responsibilities Drive Company owned vehicle used for transporting camera and related equipment for the purposes of underground utilityline inspections. Operating digital camera and observing images to identify cracks, debris, breaks or other problems within underground utility lines. Properly identifying anomalies within utility lines. Opening and closing manhole covers. Assist during utility pipe repairs. Work in varying weather conditions and work environments including dusty, wet, loud noises, etc. Keep company vehicle clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns or vehicle problems. Comply with all SBCC policies, procedures and safety requirements. Perform any other general duties as specified. Qualifications and Education Requirements 2+ years operating digital camera equipment used for utility line inspection or other applicable application. . High school diploma/GED preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record by complying with standards established by SBCC policy. Must obtain DOT medical certification. Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment. Must meet SBCC's employment standards with regards to background checks. Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time. Flexible availability to include overtime, possible weekends and may require periods of "on-call" time. Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc. Weekend and after hours availability. Preferred Skills Experience working with varying brands of pipe cleaning and inspection equipment. NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP Certified. Ability to lead and direct one or more crew members. Ability to understand various utility systems. Ability to perform pipe take-offs. All candidates must consent to background prescreen and pre-employment drug test.
