STS Line Maintenance is hiring a Material Services Supervisor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is responsible for leading shift-based material operations and ensuring all parts, tooling, and logistics functions support aircraft maintenance efficiently and in full regulatory compliance.


Position Overview

The Material Services Supervisor reports to the Station Manager, Operations Manager, or Supervisor and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of their assigned shift.

This role owns the coordination, control, and execution of all material support activities while maintaining accountability for safety, compliance, and operational performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees are working safely and using appropriate PPE and safety procedures
  • Develop and mentor team members to improve productivity, engagement, and retention
  • Delegate tasks to team members while maintaining accountability for completion
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of all material and support activities during the shift
  • Ensure all required materials, parts, and components are available and properly controlled
  • Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of all materials and related records
  • Ensure team members have required technical data and documentation prior to supporting maintenance tasks
  • Verify all tools, equipment, and material handling devices are in proper working order and within calibration requirements
  • Ensure all entries are documented in WORP and uploaded to appropriate work orders
  • Enforce compliance with Air Carrier, STS policies, and FAA and EASA regulations related to materials and logistics
  • Initiate SOP-AIR-002 following any aircraft, vehicle, or employee incident as required
  • Complete monthly calibrated tool audits by the 5th day of each month
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and documentation per SOP-QAL-002
  • Conduct weekly Life Limited Aircraft Parts and Materials Control audits per RSQM 145-8
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of all materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of STS facilities and vehicles
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Leadership Responsibility

  • Assume all applicable responsibilities of the Station Manager or Supervisor in their absence
