The GEM Program is looking for enthusiastic undergraduate students to join our team as Workshop Assistants. In this role, you'll support engaging, hands-on GEM Workshops by helping participants work through math-based activities and ensuring each session runs smoothly. This is a great opportunity to build communication, customer service, and facilitation skills while positively impacting student learning.

You'll work closely with workshop participants and staff, assist with setup and logistics, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment that encourages learning and participation.

Minimum Requirements



  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an institution of higher education
  • Eligible to work as an hourly, non-Duke student employee
  • Able to commit to scheduled workshop hours

  • Manage, distribute, and organize workshop supplies and materials
