Pay Rate: $75.00 - $78.00 hourly on W2

Job Overview:

Duties:

As a Tax Analyst, your role is to support the tax team in conducting in-depth analysis of tax-related data, interpret tax laws and regulations, and provide insights and recommendations to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of transaction tax compliance and research.
• Prepare transaction tax (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, and property tax) returns for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
• Research transaction tax issues. Interpret and comply with state, local, and international statutes, regulations, and legislation.
• Prepare for, and assisting with, transaction tax audits.
• Prepare and/or review indirect tax filings.
• Provide guidance based on research of transaction tax laws and regulations.
• Assist with the reconciliation of transaction tax general ledger accounts.
• Develop and implement process improvements.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or other four-year degree with equivalent accounting experience.
• Strong computer technical skills - MS Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills - both oral and written.
