Summary Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and ensuring employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely by coordinating and implementing safety programs, policies, and training initiatives to prevent accidents, mitigate risks, and maintain regulatory compliance. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures.
-Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including new hires, existing employees, and supervisors.
-Assist in the implementation of incident reporting systems and processes.
-Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, safety deficiencies, and non-compliance issues.
-Facilitate regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to promote safety awareness and a positive safety culture.
-Assist in coordinating safety committee meetings and initiatives.
-Maintain accurate records of safety training activities, including attendance, completion, and certifications.
-Continuously evaluate and enhance safety programs, training materials, and processes based on feedback, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Occupational Safety & Health required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Safety-Related Experience 2-3 years required and Training Experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable of local, state, and national safety regulations and standards is essential.
- This includes knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines and relevant industry-specific regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop effective safety strategies.
- Keen eye for detail to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong training qualities to effectively educate and motivate employees to adhere to safety guidelines.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work in various environments.
